On Sunday, I received an sms from Jason. He wanted to find out more about trumpets because of a sudden interest. Haha.. Okay, anyway, I didn't think deeper into it and just took it as that, until my dad called that night to ask me about trumpets as well! I guess he just had to spill the secret out because he didn know which trumpet to choose from out of the numerous models they had. He arrived back in Singapore from Hong Kong with a trumpet for me! So happy! =) Actually, not one, but 2! He got me a little wired model of a skele-guy playing a skele-trumpet? Haha.. Nevermind.. Reality is still taking it's time to sink in. Thank God for all His blessings! Dad got me the trumpet although I didn't ask for it, although he knew I wanted one all along. I really see the trumpet as one that is God-given. God blessed me with this trumpet like as soon as I chose to put Gen-acts, youth ministry, over band practices. Like what Yvonne said, when Abraham was willing to sacrifice Isaac just as the Lord had commanded him to, God not only saved Isaac but blesses Abraham with much more. Hopefully, band practices may resume for me, although I have no idea how. But whatever it is, His kingdom shall still come first!Oh ya, just gotta mention this... at the music store in Hong Kong, my dearest dad tried the instrument to check if sound could be produced on it! The best part... maybe that was his first or one of the first times he was trying to produce a sound on the trumpet. My dad rocks! Haha, love ya dad! if you actually get to see this...
Today marks the start of a 5 week break from school! Initially, I was bent on getting a temp job, and was to go for a job interview for gelato tomorrow. But I think I've changed my mind after further contemplation and hearing of my parents' opinions. They were like saying, "What for? The pay so little, still have to include tranportation cost. Go spend your time doing something mroe constructive......" Words from the wise.
I headed down to Jurong Point after genopt paper to meet my darlings! Glad that viv and diana are having such a good time in uni. I shall pop by their hall maybe next week? Haha.. and maybe have some fun decorating their bunk. Sounds like fun! =)
Hopefully, we can have an ex09 gathering some time soon. Daph was suggesting a BBQ! Maybe when Peng Juay comes back on the 8th or the 9th. Maybe we'll have a movie outing or makan galore before that. Ter... start planning!

I'm finally over and done with the 3 consecutive tests this week, the ultimate combination - genopt, a&p, humanbiochem. It calls for a burning of those biochem textbook and notes! Haha.. 1 semester down. Time passes all too soon. But whether it's a good thing or a bad thing, I've yet to come to a conclusion.Attended festival of praise just now. Take home message for today - God has a better opinion of you than you have for yourself. How cool is that.
Oh ya, and there was a new song by Don Moen which left quite an impression. Not too sure whether it's the exact lyrics, but the chorus goes:
He does not sleep
He does not slumber
He does not tire when listening to your prayer
when we are weak He becomes stronger
rest in Him and cast all your cares
on Him.
